Description

The unique patented design of the Midwest K9 Kennel allows easy assembly using only simple tools. The small and medium kennels come with a woven polyethylene sunscreen, which provides 80% protection against potentially harmful sun rays and keeps your pet cool. This kennel boasts a rounded corner construction to prevent unwanted injury to your pet. The small kennel can fit in the back of a pickup truck, and it features a door that can be re-positioned to your liking. The secure door latch on all sizes can be opened with one hand while handling your pet with the other.

Excellent product for a Kennel for my Female Jack Russell Terrier and her 5 puppies. We have dangerous coyotes near by and my Jack Russell Terriers are safe from coyotes and wild predators in this Kennel. This medium size Kennel has plenty of room in it for the dog house,food and water and a play area for my female Jack Russell Terrier and her puppies. The puppies would squeeze through the holes in the fencing when they were less than 5 weeks old. A alternative is chicken wire around the bottom of the fencing. I did not install the sunscreen because I thought my adult Jack Russell would chew through it and escape. I installed heavy plyboard on top of the pen,that is wired down,and now the kennel is very stable and secure and their is not a chance for a dog to escape. I installed a tarp over the pen to keep out wind,rain and snow. I would highly recommend this Medium Size Midwest K9 Kennel. I plan to definitely buy another Kennel like this one in the future from [@]

I bought this kennel in hopes to contain my akita while at work...so she could spend the day outside. After set up I was actually initially impressed with it (except the flimsy zip ties to hold on the sun shade) until after the first day my dog had push her way into breaking half the sun shade away...so I got industrial zip ties and at first no prob until day number two when she chewed thru the sun shade and jumped out. This kennel must have been made for dogs 20lbs and lighter only

I bought the 6 x 6 kennel for my 2 French Bulldogs. My yard is not fenced in and I do not like to use a tie-out. Now my dogs can enjoy some outdoor time safely. I put it together by myself in about an hour. I had no problems and thought it was pretty easy. I am a 56 year old woman (if that means anything). I am very pleased with my purchase!

Q1: What gauge wire is this?

A: The wire gauge on this cage is 11.5.

Q2: Is the kennel metal galvanized?

A: The Midwest K9 Kennel is galvanized.

Q3: Does this item need anchors?

A: The kennel will be fine freestanding, otherwise ground stakes can be used, but they are not included.

Q4: Can I buy two large kennels and connect them together to make a 10 x 12 kennel?

A: Sort of - the tubing for the items will not connect but if you assembled both tubings and set them side by side, you would then wrap the chain link around the entire thing and that would give you the large area you need but they'd technically just be side by side.
