I took some considerable time looking for a good dog house for our 7 month old mini schnauzer “Lucy”. Living in Western Washington I needed a dog house that can withstand the cold and rainy days(yuck). Since we both worked we needed something for our dog to keep warm and dry during the winter months. It had to be weather resistant, insulated, durable, and the price being reasonable. So, in the long run, it actually paid off with the "All Weather Insulated Bungalow Dog House". It was VERY easy to set up and it looks great in my wife’s back garden (I think Lucy agrees with us too :)

I had to re-order a front panel because the pegs used to hold the roof to the frame are not sturdy enough to handle a removeable roof. They have a rubber coating that starts to strip off after a couple of removals, and once it is gone the roof does not stay put unless you come up with some other tool to use. The other issue I have is this house is not by any means insulated well enough for temperatures lower than about 45 degrees. Any colder and I had to insulate the house in order for him to stay there during the day while we worked. Once I insulated it he could stay in the house comfortably to about 33 degrees. Also, the roof warped in the summer time so after one season...guess what? I'm in the market for another house because the roof is so curved it no longer fits no matter what I do. It just barely keeps out the rain.

Comments about New Age Pet All Weather Insulated Bungalow Dog House:

The dog house is a good design, but after the a day of assembly the top roof piece won't stay together. The plastic anchors do not grip and hold it down.

Comments about New Age Pet All Weather Insulated Bungalow Dog House:

I should have ordered the larger sized model. Although accordingto the size and weight suggestions, the medium was what was suggested. My dog is a 6month old blue heeler/about 35lbs. I think she would like it better if it was bigger. But it hasn't been cold outside yet so maybe in the winter she will go inside on her own.

Comments about New Age Pet All Weather Insulated Bungalow Dog House:

[...] I was desperate to provide a shelter for a homeless, semi-feral cat we cannot bring indoors. We added an outdoor pet heating pad. The cat LOVES it! My only concern is the possibility a stray dog could confine the cat inside. There is a need for such a shelter for even indoor-outdoor cats; I would like to see a smaller door & and an emergency rear exit for such an application. It was a breeze to assemble—about 10 minutes, & everything fit together well.
