The instructions were a bit of a challange for me because of the design of the deck rail that I was using to secure it I modified the instal and it is every thing I hoped it would be (so far) We are using it to keep the dogs contained after dark so we can leave our door open and enjoy sitting on our deck.There are no real negative things yet.

Put one up to keep the dogs out of the kitchen while we fixed meals. Worked so well, I ordered another one for the living room to keep them away from the tree and presents. The rail across the top keeps it sturdy even when stretched to the limit. Instructions were clear. Installation was straightforward -- four eye screws. The top catch is a bit tricky to use. Wish that were designed better. Can't imagine doing it with a toddler on my hip as the photo shows. Gate is easy to disconnect and stow away when you no longer need it.

We use it to keep the dogs out of the kitchen. Works great. I guess they could jump over, but so far so good. The top plastic part helps to keep it stable when it is stretched to full length. We'll see how it holds up.
