Great crate design for a tall dog, the extra couple of inches from the arched top make a big diference for my shepherd. She is able to stretch out fully and sit and stand in the crate without her ears getting pushed down. Easy to set up and comparatively light. The fabric is somekind of synthetic that seems to be out gasing - kind of smelly, but I'll leave it set up for a week or so in hopes that it will air out. Wish that other sizes were available

We have a 2 year old Newfoundland. We like to travel, and Sirius, the dog, sleeps in a crate at night. We have another travel kennel, but the proper size, folded up, is huge, and makes car travel difficult. Plus we are no longer young, and carrying 30 pound kennels is not easy. This one is lightweight. But getting the 4 rods into their places and far enough in to secure them is not easy for a 'mature' person with arthritic hands. I did it, but it wasn't easy. But then it seemed to work well. Sirius was as content to spend some in there as with any crate. We haven't actually used it for night, but I do expect it to work well. However, it doesn't replace a metal crate for a dog bent on chewing everything in sight. In it's large size it beats everything out there as a travel crate.
