I bought the kennel to teach my dog to sleep through the night (she's young) and to give her a place to hide when scared. Also to crate her if need be when I took her somewhere or left her and no one was home for short outings. She seems to love it and likes curling up in it when scared. The crate is big enough for her (she's 45lbs/25"tall) with a bit of room to spare, but cozy enough she likes the feel of it. Not really easy to travel with (it's huge), but I bought it for stationary use (one location). Very easy to put together.
